As a follow up to one of the most important aspects of your wedding, I'd like to talk about my second and by far *my favorite* aspect: your wedding photographer!
When you talk to a truly great photographer they will tell you that their main job on the day of your wedding is to tell your story.
What story, you ask? Well, the story between two people deeply in love and how those around them love and support them... of course!
So, how do you go about choosing a photographer?
First, understand that your wedding photographer will be with you more than anyone else on your big day - even your planner! So finding a photographer that meshes well with your personality is second on the priority list, and only after...
Every wedding photographer has their own *vibe* and while each genre or feeling can be absolutely stunning, you want to make sure that their photos fit into your vision. Whether your photographer has more of a light and airy feeling... or a dramatic and moody feeling... you want to be able to trust them on your big day to create the vision you've only ever seen in your mind.
And don't forget, you need to feel comfortable with their turn around time frame, prices and more. This is why making sure you sit down with your photographer months before your wedding is so important! It gives you a chance to really get to know them as people as well as what you can expect from them professionally.
Lastly, and after making sure you really love them, make sure you try your photographer out! Many photographers offer engagement photo sessions as a freebie to their packages and it really is an awesome chance to get to see how they interact with you, how they frame you and to just get comfortable around them!
How's the saying go?
The dress is but for a day, the photos are forever...?
